A number of organizations and businesses hold special events, the donations from which are contributed to the Foundation.

The Foundation is pleased to recognize and thank the following:

November 20, 2009: Celebrations by Georges at 4 Balsam Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario held an open house.  The entertainment was the extraordinary singing of 9 year old Kaelyn McCallum.  50% of the donation jar was donated to the Foundation.  The other 50% went to the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation.

November, 2009: Roger Nolin, of the Nolin Current River Fun Spiel,  arranges a curling fun-spiel once a month at the Port Arthur Curling Club, with mostly novice and non-serious curlers. After paying expenses he gives the balance of the money to various charities.  The Foundation is thankful to Mr. Nolin for his generous efforts in naming our Foundation this month.

August 15, 2004 The Foundation in partnership with The Canadian Lakehead Exhibition organized a planned attempt to break a Guinness World Record, at the annual CLE Family Fair.  A team of students from Port Arthur Collegiate Institute attempted to lay down 79,200 coins in less than 2 hours, 42 minutes, and 29 seconds.  A group in Warwickshire, Great Britain, presently holds the current record when on October 19, 2002 they set the record.  The students missed beating the record by about 5 minutes and all gave a superb effort.  The proceeds from this fundraiser were donated to the Foundation. February, 2003 - Mr. Mitz Bandiara of The Progressive Martial Arts School held a fund raising event and donations collected were contributed to the Foundation.

Special Thanks to Wal-Mart Thunder Bay - Each year, in September, Wal-Mart Thunder Bay hosts the annual "kick-off" for the Superior Pets Calendar.  The store provided a number of services, free of charge, for the event.  They have hosted this event every year since the inception of the calendar.
